Hi Jarek,

Our testers already drive along all roads, but some part of them are not yet all ready . We have a big task concerned with night view of our cities and the most of our designers are currently involved in this task. Also we are working on some script missions, characters animations and economic balance of the game. As for date - it is not yet announced. Please be patient!
Best regards
Igor

Igor Belago

Igor Belago (SoftLab-Nsk) has sent 5 exclusive pictures specially for TruckPol site and TruckPol Forum members. These part of pictures reflect last changes in RignRoll game. You can find them in the top of Rig'n'Roll Screenshots Section page.

There is an extra surprise for us (see picture below). It is a docking of european space ship to International Space Station (ISS).
As you probably know Softlabs-Nsk develop professional docking simulators for Russian Space Agency during more then 20 years. The first work I sawed on their site was Russian MIR station simulator. Igor said that they developed a model of each module half a year before it was made in steel and then saw it off the orbit. They also followed MIR to it's grave in ocean. Sometime they will develop virtual museum of MIR for future download. ISS

They have created all software for Albatros and Aksay - the first Russian space simulators based on virtual reality principles. Now their engine is based on a PC. They are developing and use the same engine for their ISS docking simulator, train sorting simulator, marine simulator, flight simulator and RigNRoll.

Dear TruckPol Forum members,
There is maybe little chance that Sabre come back to forum in future. I hope that situation from Convoy release when "hard core" fans posted insulting and undemanding comments will not repeat in future.
I think that reading these messages was far from enjoyable for Sabre. It seemed like publicly defending their decisions in making Convoy was useless on board and it would only start even more heated discussions and generate more hate mails coming their way, so Pavel stopped posting to the board.

Pavel,
we wait for you on our board impatiently and hopefully!!!

Pope John Paul II 1st death anniversary

"Don't be afraid." Pope John Paul II said...
John Paul II's first death anniversary April 2 is today.

VATICAN CITY - Tens of thousands of people from around the world flocked to the Vatican on Sunday to mark the first anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul and pray that he be made a saint soon.
They came from the late Pope's native Poland, from the United States, Asia and Italy to take part in a string of commemorations that will include a moment of silence at 9:37 p.m., the moment that he died a year ago.
Speaking at his noon address before he was due to start the commemorations, Pope Benedict recalled how his predecessor had “left a deep mark on the history of the Church and of humanity.”

The next urgent information from Pavel - SCS Software.
There is also a new 18 Wheels of Steel game in production. I cannot reveal much more now.

 March 22nd, 2006

Pavel from SCS Software has sent email about bus driving game.
A summary is below:

This is not a game created for their current distributor; it is a completely independent game that they are creating on their own. It's considerably smaller in scope and size than their 18 Wheels of Steel series.

When they started working on it, they hoped to be done with it by February. Now it seems they may be spending quite more time on it, possibly months, so it's not going to be released soon. They just want to ship a relatively polished game.

The temporary bus driver website should not have slipped out yet. They wanted the search engines to learn about it, but they hoped people wouldn't find the site yet ;-) They will officially unveil the game once it is nearing completion.

The current plan is to have the game available through "digital distribution" first, and see whether they can find any publishing partners for a retail release later.
