The official SCS Software blog was updated on Euro Truck Simulator 2 . So we can read..

Major effort is going into building quite a lot of all new 3D assets for the new game. There will be some re-use from older generation games, but a lot of things are going to be new - several tractors, certain trailers and cargoes, larger fleet of ambient traffic cars, buildings, vegetation...

There was uploaded new pictures as well. They reflect truck rebuilt to show original brand name! SCS negotiates with with several truck manufacturers for getting consent to use their brand name in game. More information on SCS blog website.

SCS Software has a new publishing partner for Poland - Fonogame. They are celebrating the new partnership by releasing a special edition of our games - a bundle of all our recent driving sims, all fully localized into Polish. The name of the new product is Euro Truck Simulator International, but in fact in the box there are 4 games - Bus Driver, Euro Truck Simulator Gold, UK Truck Simulator, and German Truck Simulator: Edition Austria.

Polish President Dies in Plane Crash

Poles are in deep mourning from today after Polish President Lech Kaczynski and many of the country's ruling elite were killed in a plane crash. The aging Tupolev plane crashed in thick fog near Smolensk in western Russia on Saturday, killing all people on board. Kaczynski had been planning to mark the 70th anniversary of the massacre of Polish officers by Soviet forces in a nearby forest (Katyn).

The patch 1.05 is available on official UK Truck Simulator website.
This patch is for the UK retail CD-ROM edition, distributed by Excalibur Publishing.

Changes and fixes since original 1.02 release:
• fixed Quarries not working right
• several ambient traffic cars which were left out originally now enabled
• a new stretch of motorway
• hired truck driver names now more appropriate for the UK
• fixed Pound symbol that was lost from the font file in the 1.04 patch

The first TruckPol information was published here on March 14th, 2001.

The Polish version of German Truck Simulator has premiere today. The game was published by TopWare Poland together with SCS Software of course. You can buy this game in the Polish stores and it is available on TopWare website as well. This GTS has patch 1.02 build in.

Well we have about a week to wrap up the gold master of UK Truck Simulator - the "twin brother" project of German Truck Simulator.
German Truck and UK Truck are going to be identical games when it comes to gameplay - they will have exactly the same features and user interface. But they will have very different content of course - each covers the respective country and its cities and highways. The UK version has the steering wheel on the right side in the interiors, and of course the cars need to be driven on the left side of the road.
It seems that UK Truck Simulator as a retail game in box packaging will only be available in the UK - starting roughly middle of next month (the final date is still unclear, regardless of what online stores might be listing on their websites). It will also be available for purchase online from our website a bit later.

Each game is tailored for its specific market. The UK Truck Simulator witch driving on the left is indeed mostly specific to people used to this way of driving, but we think that German Truck Simulator will be more interesting to the broad truck sim community across Europe and maybe even across the world - German autobahns and smaller roads have a lot entertainment to offer.

German version of GTS

So, tommorow is the relase date of German Truck Simulator. The boxes with game are already on the way to the stores in Germany. If you want to read more information about this game look at the fragment of email from Pavel (SCS) below:

Polish version is being worked on - but so far the translation (which is almost done I believe) wasn't integrated into the game, so the polish master isn't even ready. Russian version is still being translated, but eventually the game should come out there too.
As far as I know, English language version German Truck Simulator will only be available online from our site, so far we haven't got any release partner for it anywhere else.
The online version should hit the internet next week, too. Initially, it will only contain English language - there was not enough time for more translations. But a few weeks later, an updated "digital edition" will be provided with many more languages - French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, German, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Danish. This newer version will work as a free patch for those people who have previously purchased the English-only initial release.

Rig'n'Roll Information

The official Rig'n'Roll website was updated in the last days of 2009 year (as you probably know). There are some new reviews from Igromania magazine, GameGuru, ProGames@mail.ru and PC-Games.
Additionaly new Rig'n'Roll gameplay video is uploaded there. It shows small town Weaverville and its surroundings in different weather conditions. It also presents several ingame trucks such as Titan El Dorado, Titan Alpine and Hercules Liberty. The video is available on YouTube as well. Thanks to Nikita for these informations.
