Rig'n'Roll Information

The official Rig'n'Roll website is updated frequently last. There are a plenty of reviews from EMPIRE and IVANN magazines ,GAMESTAR portal and 3D News.
Additionaly new Rig'n'Roll gameplay video is uploaded there. It shows small town Weaverville and its surroundings in different weather conditions. It also presents several ingame trucks such as Titan El Dorado, Titan Alpine and Hercules Liberty. The video is available on YouTube as well. Thanks to Nikita for these informations.

The long awaited game is available to buy in Russian stores since today. There is only Russian version of Rig'n'Roll now, so we must wait for English one still. More information on official Rig'n'Roll website.

Rig'n'Roll Updates

There is plenty of RignRoll updates made on official site this month.

The gallery page was updated with new screens, depicting the competitors' order delivery, as well as various trucks and cargo types. You can get the screenpack there as a single file.

Prague, Czech Republic - November 5, 2009 - SCS Software is happy to announce the availability of digitally distributed edition of their newest truck simulation game 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker. The game has been released to retail stores in Northern America on October 6th.

In addition to English language support, this updated release of the game contains full localizations to German, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese languages, to bring the game closer to international fan community.

Extreme Trucker uses a different perspective than the previous games in the series - putting the player straight into the action, letting him face challenging tasks with growing difficulty. Extreme Locations: Travel across three hair-raising terrains including deadly ice in Alaska, boiling desert in Australian Outback, and towering mountains of Bolivia. Extreme Loads: Transport cargoes that would scare even the most fearless drivers - overweight loads, oversize loads, road trains, and high risk cargo.

The plenty of information about 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker we can find searching websites. One of the news is next pack of screenshots uploaded on SCS Software site. Some of them are the same I got from Pavel.

The SCS site discloses short 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker game description as well. It is available on pictures page under "game overview" link.

The official Rig'n'Roll site was update today. There is new interview with Igor Belago, the head of the development team (Softlab-Nsk). Several dozens of the most interesting questions were carefully selected for this. German Truck Simulator Update

The German publisher home site (Rondomedia) was updated on new German Truck Simulator information and pictures . The game developed by SCS is limited to German territory only (20 cities is included). German Truck Simulator release date is set on 18 November this year.

The Last Description is False

Unfortunately, last message about 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker is too old to be true. I was assuranced that the game description was prepared to online retailers a year ago. So, the text I've found on google.com that is supposed to describe the game is wrong - the game is going to be different.

ETS Patch 1.3 Available

SCS Software have just released a new patch for the game, updating it to version 1.3. While version 1.2 was a sizable content update with new destinations and roads in the UK, version 1.3 is only a bug fix maintenance release. They hope to be able to provide another region as a content update for Euro Truck Sim in forthcoming patch later this year.

Grab the full 1.3 online edition of the game from the download page, and the patches for retail releases of the game from the update section.

Russian RnR Release Date Announced
Start in November

This information comes from official RignRoll site. You can find plenty of new RnR screenshots associated with this information there.

Recently the office of Rig'n'Roll team was visited by guests from 1C Company. Many issues including the current state of development and plans for the nearest future were discussed during the meeting.

Several big announcements were made after it. Official release date of the game in Russia and CIS countries was revealed November 27th. Publisher and developer are also discussing plans about the evolution of the series.

These decisions were announced by Nikolay Baryshnikov (1C Company) during KRI (Russian Game Developers Conference) 2009, held in May this year. Several addons and expansions are already planned for development - a mission pack and a full-weight add on with Las Vegas as a part of the Rig'n'Roll game world.

Euro Truck Simulator - Next Life ..
Big Rig Europe in USA!

SCS Software announced that the game is going to make it onto the store shelves in North America! They have licensed the game to Meridian 4; the game is currently being prepared for retail launch as well as for appearance in additional digital distribution channels.

Due to specifics of the US market, the title of the game had to be altered. Look for the game under the name Big Rig Europe. European customers should not be confused - this is not a new or different game than what you have already beein playing for a while.

There is again belated news about next part of ETS patch.

Long-awaited Euro Truck Simulator patch was released by (SCS Software) last week. You can read email written by Pavel Sebor below. I apologize to Pavel and ETS fans for not posting this information for time:

.. We are in the process of releasing the 1.2 patch now. The online edition and UK and German retail editions already have their patches, the rest is hopefully going to follow soon as more and more of our distribution partners unveil the patches that we are preparing for them.

Euro Truck Simulator News

New development update for ETS patch was sent by Pavel (SCS Software) for TruckPol site:

... The patch is technically done now (unless you or other testers report any additional serious bugs or map problems). It has the new UK content, the couple of new "small" roads in Poland and Germany, and also the "radio" feature for playing OGG format songs has made it back.

However, due to our commitments with ETSA distributors across Europe, we'll need to wait with the release of the patch for all the different language version (and updated online version of the game) until about mid-April, when all our distribution partners should be ready to use the patch. So a few more weeks of waiting.

ETS Patch Rumours

The ETS patch becomes the target of gossip last. The rumour has it that the ETS path will be paid. Somebody draw this conclusion based on gold edition of ETS information found on RondoMedia site. There is no truth in any of the rumours. Courtesy of Pavel Sebor (Chief Executive Officer of SCS Software) we got explanation:

... What rondomedia is now advertising as "gold edition" is indeed the patched game. Along with the patches that we are making for everyone (and the patches are going to be free of course), the various distributors will also receive new masters - installers with the updated version that will be used for manufacturing of new CDs in the future. Rondomedia decided to make a bit more fuss about it with German retailers (which is going to help with advertising of the game in general) and updated the box design to reflect that there is an updated game going to be sitting on the shelves. In any case, whoever has already bought ETS 1.0 will be available to update it for free - and get exactly the same game as what the rondomedia is calling "ETS Gold Edition".

I have the pleasure of announcing you that TruckPol website is celebrating its 8 anniversary of existence on the net.
The first information was published here on March 14th, 2001.

New Year - New Games, ETS Patch

Courtesy of Pavel Sebor (Chief Executive Officer of SCS Software) we got excelent information for all trucksims fans.
This information is exclusive to TruckPol site.

... We are still working on the Euro Truck Simulator Patch - we have been delayed by some other work. The content is done - but we are still waiting for some final improvements in the DirectX renderer, so that this patch can serve us well for another good few months, and doesn't need re-patching again in a few weeks.

But there are also some good news - we now have signed 3 (three!) truck sim genre related titles to be produced in 2009! So we have a _ton_ of work ahead of ourselves - I have just hired 3 new artists, and it's still not going to be enough. So as far as the financial crisis is concerned, we are very hopeful to sail through it working very hard - and hopefully selling enough games to survive it fine.
