He wrote: The trucks on these screenshots still do not look final, we have just last week devised a new shading technique that will make them look significantly better, but it's not yet used in our alpha build and so it is not in these screenshots.

Courtesy of my friend Vladimir from Russian Trucksims we can find out about new release of Rig'n'Roll (Dal'noboyshchiki 3).
A few days ago (May 16th)1C released the Second Edition of D-2 on 2 CD. The first CD includes the game ver. 8.0 (in Russian classification). It is Russian-language variant of King of the Road with all additional features of european release. The second CD includes various interesting materials for game fans (screensavers, wallpapers screenshots and movies). Most of them are dedicated to D-3 (more than 80 working screenshots and movie).

Pavel Sebor said that SCS Software have been helping with implementing Polish character set into HT:18 WoS. The Polish version of this game will be released by TopWare Poland on the 23rd of May, 2003. Check it here. The price is 49 zlotys.

The five new screen shoots of new trucking game by 1C Company®, only in TruckPol, courtesy of Nikolay Baryshnikov (1C Company). You have to notice that there are working screen shots only. Together with Softlab-NSK are still working hard on new project called Rig'n'Roll (Dal'noboyshchiki 3 in Russian). The game release is planned in the year 2004.

The open match on the game Dal'noboyshchiki 2 or King of the Road between teams of Novosibirsk and Moscow has finished. Competition was supported by: the publisher of the game in Russia 1C Company - Moscow and the developer Company SoftLab-Nsk - Novosibirsk. Novosibirsk won match with the score 33:27 on Off-Road class - 21:09, on Race-Track class - 12:18. Prize-winners in the personal category of competition:- Proskurnikov Sergey (Belgorod, Russia)

It's time to tell about my secret. For half year I knew that 1C and Softlab-NSK had worked on new big trucking simulator project. There are a quit new engine and graphics used. The first a piece of information will be announced on E3. TruckPol will be the first on the list to the review.

For the first time in the trucking simulators history the open match between 1C Company (Publisher) and SoftLab-NSK (Creator) is conducted. The match is based on the Russian version of the King of the Road called Rig&Roll or as Dalnoboyshchiki 2. The duration of this match: from 1st on 31th January. The players can join in the game on the Moscow (1C) or Novosibirsk (SoftLab-NSK) team. It seems probable that King of the Road can take part in this match.
