SCS Software made experiment and give to us public beta release before releasing an update officially. It is marked as ETS2 Beta build 1.7.2.1 patch.

The World of Trucks website was updated last. There are some new addons like:

• user comments for images
• country selection
• searching users
• snap your profile image using your webcam
• editor's pick history

New Patch 1.7 & New DLC

The new ETS2 patch is ready to download. Patch marked as 1.7 have a surprise and brings some bug fixes. The big star of this update is the new Volvo FH and FH16.

The second great news is The Halloween Paint Jobs Pack DLC available now on Steam. This DLC is a Steam-only release. With SCS limited back-end infrastructure for monetizing and managing DLCs, they are not going to offer it from the official ETS 2 website.

World of Trucks is launched!
ETS2 Patch 1.6

SCS Software announces that World of Trucks web is available for public! In order to activate the communication between Euro Truck Simulator 2 and World of Trucks account your game must be updated to the latest patch version 1.6/1.6.1. Using your ETS2 key (or via provided Steam link), you will be able to register at the website and begin using some new features of ETS2. Read more HERE and THERE

After a long development time, finally the first Euro Truck Simulator 2 add-on is available for you. This DLC is called Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Going East!. You can buy it as standalone DLC or new "Gold" edition of the game, which contains both base game and the DLC.

Going East! add-on expands the original Euro Truck Simulator 2 map with new destinations for cargo delivery across Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. Additional 20+ hours of driving to explore all the new areas in the game world and 13 new cities including Krakow, Warsaw, Ostrava, Budapest, Kosice and many more.

It is ready to buy and download at ETS2 website and you can find it going to STEAM website as well.

World of Trucks's ultimate goal is creating an environment where truck simulators' fans can meet, interact and compete with each other in the expansive trucking world.

The next part of country-scenery from the upcoming DLC. This time we can look at Slovakia Scenery but more important thing is information about New Stralis Hi-Way.

You should be able to drive the new Hi-Way in the upcoming new patch. In the future, SCS Software intends to release more new trucks and configurations for you.

Warning - ETS2 scam!

This is warning about fake multiplayer mode for ETS2 published on Facebook page. Somebody claims to offer a mod for multiplayer, but requires you to fill in questionnaires and ties you into a monthly payments. Please take note that this is all FAKE and instead of giving you extra fun things to enjoy in the world of Euro Truck Simulator 2, instead it will only hurt you. NEVER pay for these things, NEVER give such people your personal data! This is a FRAUD!

DLC Sneak Peek Part 2

The second part of country-scenery from the upcoming DLC of Euro Truck Simulator 2 is available on SCS Blog website.

In order to be able to continue growing the map for this add-on and beyond, SCS had to do a huge rework of the map editing code and back-end. They divided the map into manageable separate sectors, instead having the map as a single chunk. This changes in map code will be available in incomig patch.

Patch for Patch (1.3.1)

There was plenty of players complaints about mod incompatibilities after last patch 1.3. The result is a new Euro Truck Simulator 2 update - version 1.3.1 made by SCS. There are no new features in it, not even any fixes of game functionality itself. All that's new are a few extra robustness improvements in the code when the game loads savegames/profiles with problematic mods created for older versions of the game. Eastern European Expansion

There was a fascinating press-day taking place at Polish publisher CDP headquarters last Wednesday (January, 30th). The main stars of this meeting was SCS Software and Giants Software representatives. There were a possibilities to talk with Pavel Sebor (SCS), CDP staff and see plenty of presentations. I did not have a chance to participate in this event due to my current work duty unforunately. But backing to the subject of this post...

SCS has been announced that they are working on the first official add-on for Euro Truck Simulator 2. This map expansion pack is centering on Eastern Europe with special focus on Poland territory. Why Poland - it is simply to explain: plenty of truck simulator communities is here (TruckPOl as well... ), big market, good cooperation between SCS and CDP etc.

This Euro Truck Simulator 2 Eastern European Expansion pack will be available as add-on/DLC so it will be paid for you. The price can be approximately at about 10 Euro (it is not offcial proce yet). The new city we can expect are: (Gdańsk, Olsztyn, Białystok, Warszawa, Lublin, Łódź, Katowice, Kraków where I live...) in Poland, (Ostrava) in Czech, (Košice, Banská Bystrica) in Slovakia, (Debrecen, Budapest) in Hungary. New patch - Soon

New patch version 1.3.x made for Euro Truck Simulator 2 game is almost ready. I have a pleasure to test it and I can say that it is worth to wait for it. The main thing is that SCS is proud to have official support from 6 of 7 biggest European truck brands now (Volvo and Iveco this time). Second major development is addition of Product Key verification step to the activation process. We can awaited some fixes in the map terrain, updates from GetLoc, tweaks of the brakes, more languages, mods handling, fixed animation in truck, sounds etc.

Changes

I am still working on TruckPol website rebuild. Maybe an effects of my work are not visible for you but plenty of my sources was lost, so I have to start from scratch. You can find some new pages for Scania Truck Driving Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 but this game are still in restructuring. I have found that Trucks & Trailers pages are destroyed and they need improvement.

I still need anybody to help me in writing materials for TruckPol website. Are you ready for it?

Changes

There are changes made to TruckPol Community last days.
The main thing is that some boards are visible now to guests as well. Not all of boards but if you want see more simple login there. You must login or register still to take part in active life of forum (writing/posting message).
The second thing is new black skin was rebuid and now is active one with new set of icon.

Steam Ready

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is available on Steam Store now. The first version of the ETS2 game on Steam will be equivalent to 1.2.5. SCS Software is working on several improvements and new features for the game, but they will only appear in the next update.

Linux Port

Euro Truck Simulator 2 Linux port is almost finished. SCS should be able to start beta testing it very soon. The good information is that your valid registration key can be used on LInux port too.
